Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 7th May 2025

At Spectrum Social Squad, we understand that plans can change. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines our approach to cancellations for both self-funded and NDIS-funded participants for our paid events.

1. General Refund Policy

For Self-Funded Participants:

  • Full refunds will be offered if you cancel more than 7 days before the scheduled event.

  • Cancellations made within 7 days but more than 48 hours before the event may be eligible for a partial refund, depending on costs already incurred (e.g., ticket purchases or venue bookings).

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

  • If an event is cancelled by Spectrum Social Squad, a full refund will be provided, or the option to transfer the booking to another date/event.

2. NDIS Participants

Spectrum Social Squad is not a registered NDIS provider, but we welcome participants who are self- or plan-managed and using their NDIS funding to attend our events.

We follow the NDIS Short Notice Cancellation Policy:

  • If you are using NDIS funding and cancel with less than 7 days’ notice, we reserve the right to charge the full fee of the scheduled service, in line with the NDIS Price Guide.

  • Cancellations made with more than 7 days' notice will not incur any fee.

We encourage NDIS participants to discuss cancellations with their plan manager or support coordinator to ensure claims align with their funding plan.

3. How to Cancel

To cancel your attendance, please email us as soon as possible at:
📧 spectrumsocialsquad@hotmail.com

Please include your full name, the event name and date, and whether you are self-funded or using NDIS. We will confirm receipt and eligibility for a refund (if applicable).

4. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that life is unpredictable—especially for those managing health or support needs. If a genuine emergency prevents you from attending, please contact us. We'll do our best to offer a fair and compassionate resolution.

5. Questions or Concerns?

We’re here to help! If you have any questions about this policy or need assistance with a cancellation, please reach out:

Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.

Spectrum Social Squad would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we have the privilege to work, learn, and grow.

We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, work, and gather—the Yugambeh people of the Gold Coast. We honour their enduring connection to land, waters, culture, and community.

We pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present, and we extend that respect to all First Nations people joining us—now and always.

Spectrum Social Squad warmly welcomes all visitors to our website and community.

We also recognise the strength and wisdom of Autistic and Neurodivergent voices, and celebrate the diversity that enriches our community.
